Core Beliefs
The Bible
- We affirm our belief in the evangelical Christian faith as set forth herewith:
- We believe that the Bible in its entirety is the inspired Word of God and the only infallible and authoritative rule of faith and conduct (11 Timothy 3:16; 11 Peter 1:20, 21).
Great Commission
- We believe in Christ’s Great Commission to the church to go into all the world and preach the Gospel (Matthew 28:19).
Trinity
- We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit and that in Jesus Christ “dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily” (Colossians 2:9; Deuteronomy 6:4; John 10:30; John 14:26; John 15:26; Matthew 28:19).
Salvation
- We believe in complete salvation by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and obedience to the gospel by repentance of sins and baptism by immersion in water (Ephesians 2:8; Acts 2:38; Acts 8:35-39).
The Lord’s Supper
- We believe in the observance of the Lord’s Supper as a memorial of His broken body and the New Testament in His blood (1 Corinthians 11:24, 25).
The Holy Spirit
- We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (11 Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:10-14; 1 Thessalonians 4:7; Romans 8:1, 2).
The Church
- The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Return of Jesus Christ
- We believe that at the return of Jesus Christ “the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17).
The Judgement
- We believe in the final eternal judgment at which time the condemned will be cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:11-15).
Ressurection
- Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom on earth.
Jesus Christ's Birth
- We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory (1 Timothy 3:16; Acts 1:11; Romans 8:34).
The Holy Spirit
- We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, speaking in other tongues as the Spirit giveth utterance, and in the manifestation of the Holy Spirit operative in the church of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:39; Acts 19:6; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11).
Five Ministry
- We believe in the five ministries God gave to His body: Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers, “for the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry” (Ephesians 4:11, 12).
